Museum with firing cannon
At the end of April, a 300-year-old cannon was fired for the first time under the supervision of the Procurement Office Suhl. Since then, the Königstein Fortress Museum has had its own fully firing cannon.
The Patrol path is closed for hikers
Due to safety work, the patrol path (hiking trail directly at the foot of Königstein Fortress) is currently closed. The hiking trails from the town to Königstein Fortress (via Malerweg / Alte Festungsstraße) can be used without any problems.
