Officer’s Mess

In the cellar are door embrasures, which indicate a construction period around 1600. It was probably the butchery and the butcher’s flat, which has been proved for the 18th century. In 1895, the officer’s mess was relocated here from the Commander’s House. Two years later, it was extended: With the inclusion of the former stable building they created restaurant rooms as a “food establishment for soldiers” and a public bar. Today, the Officer’s Mess serves as a restaurant again.
